We have two positions in Helsinki for the summer 2025: FICC Risk Advisory and Client Analysts, Corporate Banking.
FICC Risk Advisory
About the role:
As a summer intern in FICC Risk Advisory, you will be part of a professional team serving SEB’s large corporate and financial institutions clientele in Finland. Your responsibilities include for example following the financial markets, identifying trends and modelling different market risk scenarios. You will also be looking into risk management practices across industries, helping put together peer reviews and risk analysis. You will have the possibility to learn about a wide range of financial products and services and be well positioned to thoroughly understand corporate and institutional banking from a financial markets standpoint.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
Curious attitude, and natural interest towards financial markets and banking
Excellent social and collaboration skills
Great communication skills, both written and spoken, in Finnish and English
Analytical skills combined with a good knowledge of excel and preferably coding (VBA, Python)
Previous experience in financial markets, particularly FX products is considered an advantage, but not a necessity.
Client Analysts, Corporate Banking
About the role:
At our Client Analysts team, we work mainly with the Helsinki based Large Corporates and Financial Institutions Coverage teams on clients in various industries and sectors. In addition, we have close cooperation with the approving credit organization, credit analysts, various product areas, colleagues at other SEB sites and our own global Client Analysts team. At SEB we are all team players and work tightly together to form the best service for our customers. The position will give you a great overview of our clients and their relationship with the bank.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
Analytical skills and knowledge to handle complex information
Sense of initiative and proactivity
Great communication skills and fluency in Finnish and English
An ideal candidate is studying towards an academic degree. Previous experience in accounting or other finance-related areas is seen as an advantage.
